4 Months

So I am a little over a week late in posting this, but I wanted to get up Addy's four month pics along with her stats.

Weight: 18lbs. 20z. 99-100%

Height: 26.5 inches 99%

Head Circ: 16.3 inches 58%

As you can very well see, we have a very healthy little girl and she is growing like a weed. I was quite surprised as was the pediatrician that she had grown so much.

Addy's First Thanksgiving

We had a very busy Thanksgiving this year! We had two celebrations this year. We first went to my Aunts house and had most of my extended family there. We have always had a very traditional Thanksgiving and two of my Aunts and my mom have always made all of the food. Well, Jesse and I wanted to contribute this year so we made a sausage and cornbread stuffing to go with dinner. It was very tasty and I am pretty sure it went over very well! Addy was very good all day, even though she was off her schedule a little bit. After our first celebration, we headed over to my sister-in-laws parents house for dessert. We have made this a tradition over the last few years because we get along with her family so well. I also wanted to contribute to their celebration so we made dessert. I tried a new recipe: Spiced pumpkin cheesecake with toasted pecans and a bourbon salted caramel drizzle. Wow! That's all I can say. It was absolutely delicious and everyone loved it!

Our first Thanksgiving as a family

Addy was a perfect baby all day Friday for our peanut brittle marathon.

On Thanksgiving night Julie and Brian and I decided to do some Black Friday shopping and Jesse stayed home with Addy. We got out to the stores right before midnight and I finally got home just before 4am. We got some amazing deals, but I was one very tired mama! The next day was our annual peanut brittle making day. We made 23 batches in just about 8 hours. It felt like a marathon, but we did well.

We will be passing on the making of peanut brittle to Addy some day, so she is learning early!

Addison had her first cold this last week. Jesse brought it home from work first. He felt soo bad that he passed it on to her. He had to watch her while I was at work, so it was kind of inevitable. Such a hard thing as a parent when your kids are sick, even when it is just a cold. You just wanna make everything all better for them. All Addy wanted to do was cuddle with mom all week. I didn't mind that at all! If it makes her feel better, I am all for it. Even though she didn't feel well, she was still all smiles :) After cuddling her and taking care of her all week I eventually caught the cold too. Even though I was the last one to catch it, I got over it the quickest! So, our family is up and running again. Just in time for all of the HOLIDAYS!!

Harvest Party

Our neighbor and friend Katie has an annual Harvest party for all of us friends and we bring our little ones in costumes. It is so much fun to see all the adorable little costumes and see how much everyone grows each year. Even though we see each other throughout the year, this is usually our one big get together. Katie always makes taco soup and we have lots of other great food and desserts. This year we had 11 adults and 9 kids, it was quite a houseful! Katie had some great little activities for the kids, and I can't wait until Addison is big enough to join in the fun!

Fall Pictures

So, I decided to utilize my amateur photo taking skills and not pay for 3 month pictures for little Addy. I debated and debated, but decided to try it out on my own. So I had to grab a few props and accent her beautiful features!!

I don't know why it is so difficult for me to do a little blog post. For some reason I am on facebook more often, so I tend to just do quick little posts on there. I need to try and update this a little more often, but I can't guarantee that it will happen. I wanted to at least do an update from Addy's 2 month appointment before we get to her 4 month appointment! So her 2mo. stats are as follows:

Weight: 13lb. 3oz - 95%

Height: 24 1/2 in. - 97%

Head circumference: 15.5 in. - 65%

(Katie, I can't believe Huddy was born with this size head!!)

Olivia gave me these adorable little stickers that you put on a onesie or outfit to take a picture for the whole first year. I am loving it, and I can't wait to look back on the whole first year. Thanks Liv, these pictures will be such a great treasure!

Here she is all wrapped up in her miracle blanket. We love this thing!! It saved us when she wiggled out of every other swaddle blanket. She is quite the "houdini" but can't get out of this one!
