Summer is here!!!

We had the busiest weekend planned and we were so excited that the weather cooperated! First of all my mom and I decided to finally plant our garden. We got my mom a peach tree for Mother's Day, so we had to plant that along with all our veggies. We are doing a family garden this year, so we had to expand so we would have enough room for everything. So, this is about 1/2 of the garden. We have lots of fruits and veggies; strawberries, blueberries, peach tree, raspberries, cantalope, zucchini, tomatoes, bush beans, red peppers, green peppers, jalapeno peppers, carrots, asparagus, onions, and also an herb garden. I can't wait until we start getting some produce!! GROW GARDEN GROW!!!

This is my mom celebrating the fact that we go everything planted!!

So, our next project was spreading 10 yards of top soil in our back yard. We are preparing for grass, so we needed to level out the yard. I helped a little bit, but Jesse did the majority of the work. I can't wait for us to have a real yard for Harley to play in.

Harley was just trying to help us get it all done faster. He thought that maybe if he laid down on the piles somehow it would just magically be done, and we would play with him instead!! I think he was enjoying the cool feel of the dirt...

We almost have a yard!!

So, two weekends ago we decided to tackle the job of putting in our sprinkler system in the back yard. We had Jared Evans bring over the trencher and all the equipment and the guys went to work. Between my husband, Jared, two of my brothers and my dad, they got it done in no time. I think there were plenty of people helping. I did see quite a bit of standing around, but they still got the whole thing done in about 6 hours!! All I had to do was keep them fed all day! I never mind cooking, so it was quite enjoyable for me!! The next step is grass!! Hopefully within the next couple of weeks....
Jesse working away...
The guys finished about half an hour before the rain started. They were very glad to have good weather.

Since I don't have any kids yet, this is all I have to offer the blog!!

Harley and Mady had so much fun playing! They were sooo tuckered out afterwards...

Harley and Mommy on the new patio with the new table set up. We are all ready for the summer barbeques, except for grass!!

Harley is sooo focused!! He will do anything for a fruit snack!!

It was nap time...

Harley's first destruction!! We left a bag of charcoal in the back yard when we left him... Less than two hours later and this is what it looked like.

Harley & Stuff

So, our little puppy isn't so little anymore!! He has already passed the 40 pound mark. So, we got him when he was only about 8-9 pounds. We have only had him for 3 months and he has gotten huge. Although he will probably end up about double what he is now. He is so much fun!! I thought I would just post a few pictures of some of his tired moments and fun antics over the past few months.

Harley loves to cuddle with mommy!!

He loves to lay in the sun and relax!

I had the curtains closed, but he knew the sun was shining so he went behind the curtain. I called his name and he just poked his head out just to say hi. Adorable!

I guess you could say he has slightly grown out of his bed. He still enjoys it though.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!!!

So, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Spokane! I seriously can't even believe how much snow we have gotten over the last five days. I haven't seen this much in a very long time. It's kind of crazy too, because now we have a house to take care of. I do think that Jesse is actually enjoying doing the shoveling, even though there has been about 25+ inches of it. I am gladly letting him handle most of it. It is definitely harder too because we are trying to potty train a puppy in the midst of subzero temperatures and over two feet of snow. He hasn't been the happiest about going outside most of the time, but he's handling it. I must say that we are kind of spoiling him because of it too.

Lots of snow!!

My dad saved the day! He came over with his heavy duty snow blower and cleared a path down our whole street so I could get my car out. I was stuck at home for four days. We still haven't been snow plowed. I don't know if they think we need more snow before they plow or what??!!

I actually did a snow angel in 2+feet of snow!! It was tons of fun! It was slightly difficult to get up after I was down.

This is the newest addition to our family!!

So, on November 23rd we were given the opportunity to take home this adorable little boxer puppy whom we named Harley. He is now 9 weeks old and 13 pounds already. My brother and sister-in-law have one of his litter mates and they named her Madelaine, or Mady for short. They are the two most adorable little puppies ever. Harley is such a little love. He has to be around people at all times or he whines like a baby. Most of the time though he just wants to play or sit on your lap. That first week was definitely a tough one, but we are making it. It has definitely been a big change for us. Jesse and I were used to staying up late and sleeping in. We are now living a very different lifestyle. He is starting to get the hang of the whole potty training thing, but I think it is going to take him a little while. I think this is good practice for us for when we have kids, he is a lot like one!!

This is our happy little family!!

This is Harley and Mady

He enjoys sleeping on his back like this

You gotta admit he's pretty cute!!

Oklahoma!!!

So I recently took a trip back to Oklahoma to visit some friends. These are some of the girls that I was with when I went down to Texas after high school graduation. They both went through the YWAM training with me and we developed a very strong friendship. Dawn was my roomie in the dorm and we went to Madagascar together, and Meghan was in the same dorm as us. I hadn't seen either of them in four years when I went down south for Dawn's wedding. She has had two precious little boys since then, so I figured it was time for a visit. Jesse was unable to take the time off of work, so I had to go alone. It was fun being with the girls, but this was the first time that Jesse and I had been apart since we got married so it was a little difficult. I just wanted to share some pictures of my wonderful trip.

Dawn is on the left with 4mo. old Grady and Meghan is on the right

We dressed Grady up in a ninja outfit for a harvest party at the church.
He was an adorable ninja!!

This is 2 1/2 yr. old Riley as a fireman and his friend

The church had a little room all decorated so you could go in and take family photos.
It was such a great idea, and sooo cute!

Riley had his first piece of sour candy! Couldn't resist the photo-op!

Grady was a perfect angel the whole night.

Grady was cutting his first tooth and he wouldn't let go of my finger!

How can you not love that adorable blond curly hair!!
